“Energy flows where the mind goes” is a phrase you might hear in a yoga class. In a life coaching seminar, you might hear, “What you focus on expands.” My favorite version of these ideas comes from Mike Dooley: “Thoughts become things. Choose wisely.”


All of these phrases point to the limitless power of the mind. We can co-create with The Divine a life with abundance, fulfillment and peace, or we can create a life of harshness, scarcity, and dreams unfilled.

Choice is the power of creation! We absolutely get to choose!

The key is harnessing the power of the mind. It takes practice but you can do it.

Recently a friend quoted the old adage, “Be careful what you wish for– you just might get it.”

Well of course! Why wouldn’t we get what we ask for? Isn’t that the plan?

Dr. Angelou’s quote is the flip-side of the old adage. It smacks at the irony of asking for what you want and not being able to receive it when it arrives!

Or maybe the old adage and Dr. Angelou are, at the root, saying the same thing?

Tapping into your creativity can be challenging, mainly because it’s supposed to be. Challenges nudge you to explore the margins, and move you away from your comfort zone. Creativity is the expression of that experience, no matter what form it might take.

Creativity can take the form of wearing a color you never wear, starting a business, or even just making a mental paradigm shift by trusting that the Universe is loving, full of inspiration, and moves to make things work for you.

That is where the magic happens.

Often these people come into our lives by Divine intention.

They allow us to learn valuable lessons that propel us–sometimes kicking and screaming– towards the people we are meant to become.
